Karl joined Hassans in 2012 and was made Partner on 1st July 2021. He specialises in large real estate finance transactions and construction law.
Karl has advised on the legal aspects of most major real estate developments in Gibraltar in the past ten years. He regularly advises developers and lenders on the provisions of loan facility agreements and security documentation.
Karl advises developers on construction law matters and advises lenders on the same in respect of development finance transactions. Karl is regularly instructed to advise clients on the provisions of the building contracts, consultant appointments and performance security documents. Karl also advises developers on the provisions of the deeds of appointment of the various consultants to the relevant development and any associated collateral warranties.
