The Firm Grows its LatAm Practice in New York with Elias’ Onboarding
(New York, NY, January 15, 2025) Carter Ledyard is pleased to announce the growth of its Latin America Cross-Border Practice group with Edmundo “Mundo” Elias-Loyola joining as a Foreign Associate. Elias joins the Firm’s New York office as a Corporate and Transactional lawyer in the Cross Border group, leveraging his years of experience serving clients throughout Mexico and Latin America. He will be joining a growing team of Latin America practitioners handling a range of services for U.S., Latin American and global clients across all industries. He joins from renowned Mexican law firm, Kavanagh Gorozpe.
Mundo’s experience is in M&A, foreign investment, high net worth and family offices, venture capital, private equity, real estate and corporate restructuring. His background meshes well with the Firm’s overall approach to cross-border client service and collaborative, hands-on approach. While Mundo will be residing in the Firm’s New York office, he maintains a client base in Mexico and will continue to serve clients on Mexican law.
Co-chair of the LatAm Practice, Alex Malyshev said, “We couldn’t be more thrilled that Mundo chose Carter Ledyard. He believes in our mission to grow our presence among Mexican clients.” The Firm’s Chair of the M&A Practice and Co-Chair of the LatAm Practice, Bryan Hall added, “We are on a pathway to high growth thanks to the clients we have throughout Latin America. Mundo adds the X-factor that our clients need for comprehensive service.”
