Dr. Jakoby began his legal career in 1990 at Pünder, Volhard, Weber & Axster (now Clifford Chance) in Frankfurt, focusing on real estate law. He then served as a judge in Hannover for four years, enhancing his expertise in civil proceedings. Dr. Jakoby also lectured in civil law at the University of Hannover. In 1995, he joined Hölters & Elsing in Berlin before co-founding Velten Franz Mayer & Jakoby. After its dissolution in 2000, he established Velten Franz Jakoby in Düsseldorf until 2006.
A notary since 2001, Dr. Jakoby specializes in real estate and corporate law. Recognized by BestLawyers since 2012, he was named a “leading lawyer” by Chambers Europe in 2013. Dr. Jakoby lectures at Freie Universität Berlin and frequently speaks on real estate and procurement law. Active in Legalink since 2000, he became Chairman in 2011, further expanding his international legal presence.
